The GE Revolution HD brings together the core innovations of GE Healthcare’s flagship CT technology into a high-performance scanner. Built on GE’s Gemstone™ detector architecture—a garnet-based scintillator that recovers 4 times faster with 100 times primary speed over conventional materials—the system sets a high benchmark for low-contrast detectability, spatial resolution, and artifact reduction.
Featuring Gemstone Spectral Imaging (GSI), the Revolution HD switches rapidly between 80 kVp and 140 kVp in 0.25 milliseconds during a single rotation. This provides quantitative dual-energy tissue characterization, enabling clinicians to assess tissue composition, map iodine distribution, perform virtual non-contrast (VNC) conversions, and differentiate renal stone types.
