The Siemens SOMATOM Sensation Cardiac set a benchmark in computed tomography as one of the first platforms capable of capturing motion-free, high-definition acquisitions of a beating heart. Designed for cardiac centers, high-volume emergency facilities, and general diagnostic radiology departments, the system eliminates mechanical scan trade-offs by pairing ultra-fast rotation speeds with high Z-axis sampling.

Featuring Siemens’ proprietary z-Sharp™ technology, two distinct focal spots alternate rapidly on the anode target of the STRATON™ X-ray tube, doubling the data sampling rate and removing spiral sampling artifacts without increasing radiation dose. Supported by the syngo® user interface and automated cardiac post-processing tools, clinicians can perform reliable coronary artery CTA, calcification scoring, and stent patency evaluations in single breath-holds.
