The Siemens SOMATOM Perspective CT Scanner is designed to meet both clinical excellence and financial sustainability. Engineered as a scalable platform, facilities can start with a standard 16 or 32-slice setup and seamlessly upgrade on-site up to a 128-slice system as patient demand and clinical requirements grow.

Built around Siemens’ low-noise Ultra Fast Ceramic (UFC™) detector array, the Perspective captures sharp, high-contrast sub-millimeter images. Its streamlined gantry design and slim 68.5 cm aperture improve patient comfort while providing easy patient access during interventional procedures. With an efficient heat dissipation profile of just 8.5 kW, the system minimizes HVAC cooling requirements and energy expenditure without sacrificing scan throughput.

• eCockpit Efficiency Suite:

  • eMode: Automatically selects optimal scanning parameters to reduce component stress and extend overall system lifespan.

  • eSleep: Cuts standby power draw down to ~3.7 kW during non-scanning hours to lower electricity consumption.

  • eStart: Gently pre-warms the DURA 688 MV tube before scanning to prevent thermal shock and extend tube operational longevity.

• SAFIRE™ (Sinogram Affine Iterative Reconstruction): Raw-data based iterative reconstruction that lowers radiation dose by up to 60% while enhancing image contrast, sharpness, and low-noise detail.

• FAST CARE Architecture: Fully Assisting Scanner Technology (FAST) streamlines setup through automated organ-based range setting (FAST Planning) and guided cardiac steps (FAST Cardio Wizard).

• Interleaved Volume Reconstruction (IVR): Generates additional data points along the longitudinal axis to detect micro-structures and expand 3D diagnostic clarity.

• Illumination MoodLight & Front Display: Features ambient LED illumination to reduce patient anxiety and an integrated front display panel showing live scan parameters, ECG traces, and patient details.
