Description
Overview
The GE SIGNA Premier XT 3.0T bridges the gap between high-end academic research and fast-paced clinical imaging by eliminating the traditional compromise between bore size and gradient power. While most 3.0T wide-bore systems suffer from reduced gradient performance, the SIGNA Premier XT leverages the SuperG gradient coil to deliver an astonishing $80\text{ mT/m}$ gradient amplitude and $200\text{ T/m/s}$ slew rate within a spacious $70\text{ cm}$ flared aperture.
At the heart of the XT platform is the Total Digital Imaging (TDI) architecture featuring Direct Digital Interface (DDI). This system utilizes independent analog-to-digital converters for each of its 146 RF channels, digitizing inputs at the source to eliminate noise enhancement. When paired with the blanket-like AIR™ Coils and the deep-learning raw-data reconstruction of AIR Recon DL, the SIGNA Premier XT provides unparalleled clarity, exceptional speed, and maximum patient comfort.
Key Features & Advanced Technologies
-
SuperG Gradient System ($80\text{ mT/m}$ / $200\text{ T/m/s}$): Uses revolutionary all-hollow conductors with independent, direct-axial water cooling. This allows the system to run ultra-long duty cycles (e.g., Human Connectome fMRI protocols) with extreme thermal stability and zero linear drift.
-
146-Channel TDI Direct Digital Interface (DDI): Features up to 146 independent digital channels that directly digitize signal from every coil element, providing an immediate Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) boost and supporting massive parallel imaging acceleration factors.
-
AIR Recon DL & Sonic DL™: An advanced deep-learning reconstruction engine that operates in raw $k$-space data to eliminate image noise and ringing artifacts, enabling up to $50\%$ faster scans and real-time cardiac imaging without breath-holds.
-
48-Channel AIR™ Head Coil & Flexible Arrays: A fit-adaptable head coil designed to accommodate $99.9\%$ of the population (including large heads and short necks) and flexible AIR™ body blankets that conform comfortably to patient anatomy.
-
HyperWorks Acceleration Suite: Includes HyperBand (excites multiple slices simultaneously), HyperSense (compressed sensing for up to $8\times$ scan time reduction), and HyperCube (selective 3D spatial resolution).
-
eXpress Dockable Patient Table: Features memory foam padding, a $550\text{ lbs}$ ($250\text{ kg}$) weight limit, a long $205\text{ cm}$ scan range, and allows technologists to prep patients outside the scan room to maximize throughput.
