Description
Overview
The Philips Ingenia 1.5T Evolution is designed to transform daily department productivity by tackling operational bottlenecks without compromising image detail. Built upon a patient-friendly $70\text{ cm}$ wide-bore aperture and a $55\text{ cm}$ usable Field of View (FOV), the system gives imaging departments the flexibility to comfortably scan challenging, pediatric, and bariatric patients.
Central to the Evolution’s performance is the integration of dStream Direct Digital Architecture with Philips’ SmartWorkflow solutions. Direct in-coil signal digitization eliminates high-frequency noise transmission along analog cables. Combined with VitalEye touchless optical sensing (which tracks patient respiratory patterns without manual belts) and SmartSpeed AI deep-learning reconstruction, technologists can execute fast, motion-free 2D and 3D imaging protocols in up to half the time of standard MRI systems.
Key Features & Advanced Technologies
-
SmartSpeed AI & Compressed SENSE: Advanced AI deep-learning reconstruction engine that operates directly on raw $k$-space data. Accelerates scan times by up to $50\text{–}65\%$ across $97\%$ of clinical protocols while delivering sharper anatomical resolution.
-
dStream In-Coil Direct Digital Architecture: Digitizes RF signals right at the patient interface inside the coil, routing noise-free broadband data via fiber-optic lines to boost Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) by up to $40\%$.
-
VitalEye Touchless Patient Sensing: An infrared optical sensing system integrated into the bore frame that automatically detects patient respiratory movement without needing physical respiratory straps, cutting setup time and minimizing motion artifacts.
-
SmartWorkflow & Breeze Coil Suite: Ultra-lightweight Breeze coils and guided touchscreen set-up allow technologists to position patients and initiate scans in fewer physical steps.
-
mDIXON XD Multi-Contrast Imaging: Delivers up to four image contrasts (water, fat, in-phase, out-of-phase) in a single fast acquisition, eliminating the need for separate fat-suppressed sequences.
-
ScanWise Implant Technology: AI-driven software guided step-by-step to automatically configure system parameters within specified safety limits for patients with MR Conditional implants.
-
In-Bore Ambient Experience & ComfyTone: Immersive visual displays and acoustic noise suppression algorithms reduce patient anxiety and lower rescan rates due to claustrophobia or movement.
